Calming Down

Well, now that Matt is back to work I can finally stop worrying about him every second. I figure, he works at a hospital, if something happens he's in the right spot. The people that work there look out for their own.

I have to say while he was lying there in more pain than I have ever seen anyone in, he was worrying about my comfort, asking if he could get me something to drink or a better chair. The guy could hardly move! He is an amazing individual!

Last night we got an apartment!! It is huge! It only has 1 bedroom which we were hoping for 2, but the living/kitchen area is gigantic! We have a Cal King bed (Matt is sort of a big guy :) and will probably be the only piece of furniture in our bedroom, but hey, we don't need much. Those of you who know where Steve & Marjorie (Matt's aunt and uncle) live, our apartment is East of them on the other side of 2-15. I think we will like it up there!

That's about all that going on...I hope you have an amazing week!!

Hospital Stay

HI

On Monday I had to call an ambulance to come get my shaking, exausted, in emense pain, puky, having the runs, Hubby. He had a hard time making it up the stairs with 2 firemen on either side of him. He had felt a little nausiated when he got home from work around 4:30 and at 7:30 the pain and everything else hit and held on for dear life. By the time I got to the hospital and back in the ER to see him they had him on major pain meds and nausia drugs and they weren't doing a thing for him. They ended up giving him a dose of a pain med that would have killed someone my size. They did ultra sounds, CT scan, and loads of blood samples. He moved to Observation, then up to the 5th floor and admitted officially. The docs had/have no clue as to what caused it.

This morning he called me in high spirits and said he might be able to go home!! I have to say that was the best info I've had all week. I got back to the hospital and he just looked SO good! The Matt I left the night before was in so much pain and just tired and there was nothing anyone could do for him. Just before lunch another doctor and a small team of med students came in and discussed his symptoms and analysis stuff and decided on a stone. Honestly, I never knew that passing a stone could be so painful for someone who doesn't even have a gallbladder!! They figure the majority of the pain was because his internal anatomy is slightly different with the few surgeries he's had. It is now 2 PM and he has to give one more sample and then the doc will clear him to go home!! YAY!!!!!!!! I have to say that Tuesday was the longest day ever!! Running on 2 hours of sleep and the docs having no clue what was going on...yikes!! Do not want to do that again, ever!

Hopefully next time we chat Matt & I will be home and well and seizing the day to do whatever we want!

A Welcome New Sight!

First, Annie & Josh find out what gender cletus the fetus is on Monday!! SO EXCITING!!

Second, this week has been pretty good! Matt & I have started having protein shakes for breakfast and I must say that it has not only been cost effective, both of us seem to have more energy! We put a bunch of fruit or berries in it and YUM!

We are well, things have seemed to turn themselves around from a bit of fear to contentment to the thought of what's next. We did decide yesterday that we don't want kids!! (don't worry Kathy, we still plan on it but it won't be for a while!!) Because....my brothers have gone to Mt. Pleasant to work on the parentals house most every weekend and this past was no acception. They were gone and so all the girls and kids went to the rec center to swim. Had a blast! I love those little neices and nephews of mine. On our way home one of the little girls wrists got hurt and her mom did all she could by way of asking Matt what could be wrong and just holding her with some ice. Then, as many of you may or may not know, my mom's kitchen chairs are very top heavy. The other little girl (the one with the hurt wrist's older sister) was enjoying her dinner with all the other cousins sitting around the table, and she toppled over with the chair down the two steps into the family room. :( Let me tell you tears were had! My mom picked her up so quick! Held her close and she wanted mom so that's who got her. So there my sister is with two hurt crying girls and not a clue what to do. We all of course tried to be supportive and help the best we could but we couldn't do much besides keep the other kids from getting up close and personal saying 'are you okay?' They are a loving bunch. To finish a long story, the oldest girl was just fine, a little freaked out but good. The youngest was taken to a doctor and had a dislocated wrist. They popped it back in and, not positive, but I think she's doing just dandy!

Having all of my neices and nephews in the same little home is a mad house! We love it! But wow! Watching them all run around and cry and be unruley etc made Matt & I decide that kids won't happen for a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time. Just kidding, we may not have a choice as time progressis and the Lord has other ideas ;).

To the title of this 'little' message. The past month or so the sun has been no where to be seen. I am one that loves the cold and enjoys the snow! But come on, there are only so any months that the sun can be hidden and I not miss it. This weekend has been marvelous!! The sun shining and the temperature above 30!! AWESOME! I look forward to the spring! Hopefully to hiking and travels!

Well, I think that I have bored your eyeballs to death and need to sign off. Hope you are all dandy!! Love you all!

I am sitting at my PC at 5 AM on a Saturday morning. I have helped send Matt off to work, made some grub, and thought about the blog I hadn't written anything for for 2 whole weeks!

Matt and I are still dandy, he had his first math test and aced it!! I had a 12 hour work day this week due to taxes...never want to do that again!! All in all though we are awesome!

Well, I've got to go, Matt left something here that he needs for work. So the good little wiff that I am will take it to him :). Love you all!!
